Kingdom of God revisited

  Here’s my take on the kingdom of God, which I believe is the shorthand term that Jesus used for the state of nondual consciousness that is a potential for all humanity to reach. Traditionally, the kingdom of God has been taken to mean a place that you get to if you are good, or if you believe – ‘pie in the sky when you die!’ But Cynthia Bourgeault expresses the kingdom as something more subtle to be awoken into: “It’s not later, but lighter – some more subtle quality or dimension of experience accessible to you right at this moment.
